THEATRE ALERT

Smalley's Theatre

Flyer 1951 (6" x 8.25")

101 Kingston Street, Delhi, NY 13753

The Delhi Opera House was opened on September 30, 1884, with “Ticket of Leave Man”. By 1914, it was a movie theatre and eventually became Smalley’s Delhi Theatre. Stars who appeared on stage include Tom Mix and Ken Maynard. By 1941, it had been renamed Smalley’s Theatre, and continued as a movie theatre into the 1970’s.

It was torn down several years ago, unfortunately.
